High-quality handle material - Made from the best raw materials
Cellulose acetate butyrate, CAB is a modified natural material made from wood and impact-resistant. The PB Swiss Tools Classic and multicraft handles are made from this material. The SwissGrip handle lines, VDE screwdrivers and electronic screwdrivers are made with two components each. The core consists of a particularly resistant and impact-resistant polypropylene, which is surrounded by a soft and skin-friendly elastomer sheath.
Special alloy - elastic and resistant despite high hardness
A special alloy based on spring steel is used as the base material for the manufacture of PB Swiss Tools tools and instruments. Particularly high hardness values (58-60 HRC) and unique strength and spring properties characterise this wear-resistant special steel. Developed in collaboration with steel mills for decades and manufactured according to a special formula for PB Swiss Tools.
