American refrigerators equipped with a dispenser of water, ice and crushed ice have a water filter, with a filtration capacity of about 1800 litres. Manufacturers standards require that the filter be replaced every six months. Therefore, every six months, the filter change indicator (on the control panel) changes color (changes from green to orange in the 5th month, then to red at the 6th month) indicating that the filter needs to be changed. The filter is placed directly on the water inlet at the back of the refrigerator. Remove the used filter. Install the new filter so that the arrows are directed upwards.
